Payroll Specialist Role
We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our finance team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong payroll experience who thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
Job Description
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate operation of our payroll processes, supporting both salaried and hourly-paid employees. Key responsibilities include:
* Processing payrolls for salaried staff and temporary agency workers (weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly, and monthly)
* Handling timesheet and clock card submissions, including adjustments for overtime, bonuses, shift allowances, and other variables
* Managing payroll administration for temporary employees joining and leaving the business
* Processing payroll deductions
* Ensuring full compliance with statutory obligations (PAYE, PRSI, USC, LPT, BIK)
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A payroll qualification (e.g. IPASS) or a relevant accounting qualification
* A minimum of 2 years' payroll experience, ideally in a busy or high-volume environment
* Strong customer service focus with excellent communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level required)
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
