Chartered Building Surveyor Role

We are seeking an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to join our team and deliver exceptional service.


Key Responsibilities:

* Analyze building defects, collect information, and measurements to ensure projects run smoothly.
* Conduct Technical Due Diligence (TDD) surveys and prepare detailed reports for clients.
* Provide informed advice and recommendations with detailed reports to support project decision-making.
* Serve as Contract Administrator, overseeing the execution of contracts and managing relationships with specialists and sub-consultants.
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including overseeing project teams and coordinating specialist input.
* Prepare designs and specifications at various stages of a project, ensuring they meet client requirements.
* Report on progress and quality of third-party building works, highlighting any areas for improvement.
* Prepare condition records and schedules of dilapidations, providing valuable insights for clients.
* Conduct Reinstatement Cost Assessments (RCAs), helping clients understand potential costs associated with property maintenance.
* Advise on historic property preservation and conservation, utilizing expertise to protect and restore properties.
* Supervise building maintenance and prepare maintenance schedules to ensure assets are properly maintained.
* Monitor development projects, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
* Manage health and safety compliance as Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP), prioritizing employee and public well-being.
* Develop a thorough understanding of building mechanical and electrical systems, enabling informed decision-making.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Minimum two years post-qualification experience as a Chartered Building Surveyor.
* Chartered membership with SCSI or RICS, demonstrating commitment to professional development.
* Ability to work flexible hours based on client needs, adapting to changing circumstances.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and clients.
* Excellent report writing skills, with attention to detail and ability to present complex information in a clear manner.


Benefits:

* Competitive salary range: 50k – 55k DOE.
* Opportunity to work onsite for the first six months, followed by a hybrid working model that balances flexibility and face-to-face interaction.
