Role Overview:
FM Services Group is seeking an experienced and driven Contracts Manager to oversee cleaning operations across a portfolio of industrial and commercial sites. This role is hands‑on, fast‑paced, and ideal for someone who thrives on getting stuck in, leading teams, and making contracts run like clockwork.
You’ll be responsible for delivering excellent service standards, ensuring full compliance with health & safety regulations, managing client relationships, and supporting our operational teams across multiple locations.
This role bridges our Industrial and Commercial Cleaning divisions, so flexibility, strong leadership, and practical knowledge of cleaning operations are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage day‑to‑day operations across multiple cleaning contracts (commercial & industrial)
* Supervise and support site teams, including Team Leads and Supervisors
* Conduct regular site audits and ensure compliance with safety procedures and cleaning standards
* Liaise with clients to ensure satisfaction and resolve any operational issues quickly and professionally
* Coordinate staffing levels, rotas, and cover, including recruitment support when needed
* Ensure team members are trained, onboarded, and compliant with site‑specific requirements
* Monitor performance KPIs and report on contract delivery
* Work closely with the H&S and Risk team on incident management and preventative actions
* Lead toolbox talks and contribute to ongoing training and development
* Drive continuous improvement and cost‑effective service delivery
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant legislation and company policy
Skills & Experience Required:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the cleaning industry (commercial or industrial)
* Proven experience managing multiple teams and sites
* Strong knowledge of cleaning practices, machinery, and industrial protocols
* Excellent understanding of health and safety requirements, including risk assessments, method statements, and accident/incident reporting
* Confident communicator with strong client‑facing and people management skills
* Full clean driving licence (essential)
* Able to travel to multiple sites across Ireland
Desirable Qualifications:
* Safe Pass (required)
* Manual Handling (required)
* MEWP Licence
* Work at Height
* First Aid and Fire Warden training (advantageous)
