The Team and the Opportunity
As part of our Data Analytics and AI team, the Data Solution Architect role is pivotal in enabling our clients to derive significant value from their information assets.
Through collaboration and domain expertise, our team embeds innovative data analytics solutions into existing business areas, transforming data into strategic assets.
You will play a key role in driving growth by developing new and existing client relationships and delivering first-class customer experience on high-profile engagements.
Working across all industries, you'll develop your career by communicating creative, strategic goals both internally and externally.
As a senior manager, you will assess and improve clients' reporting policies and corporate governance processes during transformational and regulatory changes.
Your Key Responsibilities
Leading diverse teams with varying skillsets, who use different Data and Analytics technologies.
Adapt leadership style to fit team, client, and cultural needs; anticipate and identify risks and escalate issues as appropriate.
Coach and counsel junior members, sharing best practices, industry trends and technical knowledge to foster professional growth.
Lead the design and implementation of data artefacts, including data modelling, data integration, data storage, and data governance based on industry best practices and client-specific requirements.
Hands-on experience in data modelling to create Enterprise Data Models.
Implement data management concepts (Metadata Management, Data Quality, Data Testing).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural designs.
Assess existing data architectures, identify areas of improvement, and recommend remediation plans to optimise data management processes and systems.
Develop data migration strategies and oversee execution with data integrity and minimal disruption.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients on data architecture, governance, quality and security matters.
Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and industry standards in data architecture and management; provide thought leadership to drive innovation.
Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years of experience in data analysis and strategy, with ability to create impactful visual stories from complex datasets.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Expertise in data modelling and database designs (ER models, Dimensional models, Data Vaults, etc.).
Extensive experience in SQL and NoSQL development across on-prem and cloud platforms.
Extensive knowledge of data integration, ETL processes, and data warehouse design.
Familiarity with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and cloud data services (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
Understanding of data quality principles, profiling, cleansing, and validation.
Ability to document data models, processes, and governance frameworks clearly.
Experience modelling real-time data streams (e.g., Apache Kafka, Apache Flink or similar).
Experience designing and implementing data governance frameworks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent client-facing communication and relationship management.
Strong leadership abilities to lead and mentor consultants and drive project outcomes.
Ideally, you will also have
Awareness of industry trends and applying best practices to data strategy and operations.
Consulting experience with strategic advice and practical solutions to business challenges.
Familiarity with relational, NoSQL and cloud-based data platforms.
