A well-established builders merchant in Cork is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join their busy and growing branch team.
This is a hands-on, customer-focused role that blends inside sales support with trade counter duties. Working in a close-knit branch environment, you’ll play a key role in supporting trade customers, processing orders, and assisting the wider sales team to deliver an excellent service.
This opportunity suits either an experienced sales professional or someone at an early stage of their career (graduate, trainee, or apprentice pathway), who is eager to build a long-term career within the construction supplies and merchanting sector.
The Role
Full-time, on-site positionSalary range: €35,000 – €45,000, depending on experienceCombination of inside sales and trade counter responsibilitiesSaturday work required on a rota basisStructured training and development available
Key Responsibilities
Act as a first point of contact for customers via phone, email, and trade counterProcess sales orders accurately and efficientlyServe customers at the trade counter, offering advice and product supportPrepare quotations and pricing for trade and commercial customersProvide sales support to external account managers and key accountsDevelop strong working relationships with trade professionals and commercial clientsMaintain up-to-date product knowledge across building materials and suppliesWork collaboratively with internal teams to meet customer and sales targetsSupport general branch operations in a fast-paced environment
About You
Strong interest in the construction, building materials, or trade supply sectorPrevious experience in sales, retail, or customer service is advantageousConfident communicator with a friendly, professional mannerComfortable working in a varied role that combines sales and customer serviceOrganised, detail-oriented, with good IT and system skillsWilling to support both inside sales and trade counter functionsMotivated, reliable, and eager to learn and progressFlexible and available to work Saturdays as part of a rotaOpen to graduates, trainees, or candidates looking to develop a long-term career
