Accounting Professional Wanted
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Professional to join our finance team and assist with various accounting tasks.
The ideal candidate will have strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail, as well as experience with Sage/Xero/Quick Books or similar accounting packages.
The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting with month-end processes, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and accruals. They will also process AP and AR, supplier payments, and creditor reconciliations, maintain and reconcile bank accounts, and assist with day-to-day cash flow monitoring.
Additionally, the successful candidate will prepare VAT returns, support compliance activities, and drive continuous improvement of accounting processes and documentation.
The role requires a proactive approach to problem solving and process improvement, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
A fully qualified (CIMA/ACCA) accountant or someone studying towards full qualification is highly desirable, with experience in construction, manufacturing, or SME environments being a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
* Month-End Processes: Assist with journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and accruals.
* Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process AP and AR, supplier payments, and creditor reconciliations.
* Bank Reconciliations: Maintain and reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash flow.
* Tax Compliance: Prepare VAT returns and support compliance activities.
* Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes and documentation.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
* Fully qualified (CIMA/ACCA) or studying towards full qualification.
