We pride ourselves on professionalism, reliability, and the highest standards of service delivery.Role OverviewThe Event Manager (Security Services) will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Reconnaissance Groups's security & stewarding operations during events. This part-time position requires a proactive and organised professional who can ensure a safe and secure environment for staff, spectators, and stakeholders in compliance with Reconnaissance Group standards and clients policies.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate, and manage security operations for all stadium events.Liaise with management, event organisers, law enforcement, and emergency services.Supervise, brief, and debrief all staff on event days.Ensure all staff are deployed appropriately and equipped with the necessary information and equipment.Conduct site inspections prior to and during events to assess risks and ensure compliance with safety protocols.Manage crowd control, access control, and incident response procedures.Maintain clear communication with the Operations Control Room during events.Prepare event reports, including incident summaries and attendance records.Support the recruitment, training, and development of event security staff.Ensure compliance with Reconnaissance Group policies, licensing laws, and Health & Safety regulations.Skills & QualificationsMinimum 5 years previous experience in event security management or similar role (preferably within a sports or entertainment venue).Valid PSA licence (Private Security Authority) or equivalent qualification.Strong leadership and people management skills.Excellent communication and organisational abilities.Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.Sound understanding of crowd management, emergency response, and safety protocols.Proficiency in incident reporting and operational documentation.Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by the event schedule. NOTE: majority of events are held on Saturdays.DesirableFirst Aid qualification.Experience liaising with local authorities and emergency services.Knowledge of Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (Crowd Safety) legislation and best practices.BA in Event Management or similarWorking HoursThis is a part-time, event-based role, with working hours dependent on the event schedule. Flexibility is essential, with most shifts occurring on Saturdays.
