Food & Beverage Manager

The Hodson Bay Hotel seeks a dynamic Food & Beverage Manager to lead our award-winning operations.

We have three outlets:

* The Waterfront Bar & Brasserie, offering extensive investment in facilities and new menus;
* L'Escale Restaurant, providing guests with a fine dining experience and creative culinary delights from our Executive Head Chef;
* And '52 @ The Bay', an outdoor dining experience with stunning lake views.

The renowned Hodson Bay Hotel offers a cutting-edge opportunity for a Food & Beverage professional to bring these outlets to the next level.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Day-to-day running of Food & Beverage Outlets.
2. Take control of Waterfront Bar & Brasserie, L'Escale Restaurant, 52 @ The Bay, and Room Service.
3. Maximize revenue through every opportunity.
4. Lead a team of Managers, Assistant Managers, Food & Beverage Supervisors, and Food & Beverage Assistants to ensure exceptional Customer Care.
5. Assist with training and document progress.
6. Handle day-to-day queries, complaints, and issues in Bar, Brasserie & Restaurant.
7. Ensure secure handling of cash, vouchers, and all payment methods.
8. Address complaints in a courteous and efficient manner, informing senior management.
9. Attend weekly Head's of Department meetings.
10. Assist with recruitment and selection for Food & Beverage outlets.
11. Support Performance Management for Managers.
12. Maintain and audit hygiene levels.
13. Collaborate with Executive Head Chef on food quality levels.
14. Evaluate Health and Safety risks and take action when necessary.
15. Report incidents, accidents, fire, loss, or damage.
16. Perform Managerial duties according to agreed standards.


Your Role:

* A minimum of 2 years' experience at Manager level in a 4* hotel;
* Strong Leadership qualities;
* Excellent communication, organization, and people management skills;
* Ability to train new and existing staff;
* Expert knowledge of Food and Beverage and attention to detail;
* Ability to perform under pressure;
* Fluent spoken and written English;
* Availability to work 5 over 7 days for both opening and closing shifts;
* Strong HACCP knowledge;
* Knowledge of Budgeting and Rostering.
