This role includes mentoring team members, developing a training plan to ensure their upskilling on emerging technologies, ensuring a balanced workload, and implementing best practices to enhance productivity and performance within the team.What You'll Be DoingLeads and manages the "Data Tech, Platforms & Solutions" team, ensuring effective collaboration and communication within the group and with other departmentsLeads the design, development, and implementation of data solutions using Azure, Power BI, Oracle technologies, AI components and APIs, complying with the Data Product design paradigmParticipates in designing and driving solutions to modernize existing systems and transition them to more efficient and user friendly ones (reduce/remove technical debt)Actively contributes to the writing of critical / reference deliverables, ensuring timely and efficient execution of data projects and tasksCollaborates with cross-functional teams, including business and technical architecture, to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights that support business objectivesLiaises with the Product Owner and the Head of Data & AI to help on projects qualification, resource allocation, and prioritization of initiativesEstablishes and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for team performance and project success, implementing improvements as neededCollaborates closely with the Data Science & Analytics manager to ensure seamless integration of data solutions and analytics initiativesMentors and guide team members in best practices for data management, analysis, and visualization, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharingHas a particular focus on optimizing the running costs of our data, BI & AI platforms by rightsizing the architecture's components, and setting up & closely monitoring their usage, availability and performanceSocializes knowledge of technical components across the team, ensuring all members are equipped with the skills necessary to excel in their rolesDevelops and promote training programs and workshops to enhance the team's technical capabilities and business data knowledgeKeeps up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvementEnsures compliance with data governance policies and data privacy regulationsCommunicates complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectivelyContributes to Guilds and improvements in the global data frameworkWhat You'll BringDemonstrated expertise in data engineering, data analytics, or a related field, with a specialization in Azure and Power BIStrong technical background in data architectures, cloud solutions, and data governance principlesExtensive hand-on experience with Azure, Power BI, Oracle databases, SQL, and PL/SQLStrong understanding of data architectures, data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and best practices in data governanceSolid business acumen and understanding of data requirements in the insurance sectorExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to engage effectively with both technical and non - technical stakeholdersExperience in fostering team collaboration in an Agile environment and familiarity with project management tools.Good knowledge and appetite for emerging technologies, AI concepts, and data visualization best practicesExperience in the insurance industry or financial services sector is a plusWhat We OfferAt AXA Partners, we're appreciative of the people who work for us and our rewards package is reviewed regularly to reflect that.To apply, click on the 'apply for this job' button, you'll then need to log in or create a profile to submit your CV.
