Payroll Consultant Limerick (12 months) Hybrid (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday onsite) Are you an experienced Payroll Consultant looking to take your skills to the next level? Our client, a leading organisation in the industry, is seeking a dedicated professional to join their team in Limerick.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll production across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities: Manage daily payroll activities for assigned payrolls, ensuring timely, accurate processing and compliance with complex regulations and year-end activities.
Review payroll adjustment requests to ensure proper authorisation, compliance with corporate policies, and adherence to employment tax laws.
Provide management with corrective actions when errors occur and record monthly payroll metrics.
Address payroll inquiries from all organisational levels, explaining pay structures and the impact of policy and tax law changes.
analyse and recommend modifications to existing policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
Collaborate with vendors and review payroll systems to ensure accurate reflexion of submitted changes.
Participate in system testing, upgrades, and payroll projects aimed at process improvement.
Prepare and monitor payroll tax and general ledger accounts, working with the Finance team to reconcile discrepancies and process appropriate accounting transactions.
Stay updated on regulatory and legislative changes affecting payroll to ensure ongoing compliance.
Conduct vendor management activities in accordance with corporate standards.
Serve as a subject matter expert and provide coaching or training to team members.
Review payroll inputs and manual calculations, and be prepared to back up other team members when necessary.
Represent the payroll department in various meetings, contributing your expertise and insights.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess: Several years of payroll experience, particularly with multi-country payroll processing in the EMEA region.
Comprehensive knowledge of payroll production, reconciliation, and general ledger processes.
Exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work independently under strict deadlines.
A proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Understanding of Human Resources and Finance functions and their impact on payroll processes.
