Great opportunity to join a successful Law Firm as a Bookkeeper
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bookkeeper to join our client’s law firm business. Key deliverables will be month end close, salaries & wages, VAT returns etc. This role has the potential to progress into a Financial Controller position in the future, as the company continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintenance of up-to-date books and records, including maintaining precise records of client funds.
* Processing day to day transactions.
* Understanding and ensuring full compliance with Law Society Accounting Regulations.
* Dealing with all bank payments.
* Bank reconciliations.
* Assisting with invoicing.
* Managing creditors.
* Managing payroll.
* Revenue returns – managing VAT and PAYE/PRSI.
Experience / Qualifitcations:
* Minimum of 5 years in a financial accounting role, preferably in a law firm environment.
* Experience in month end tasks, statutory financial reporting.
* Proficiency in financial systems.
* A recognized accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Desirable but not essential
Skills:
* Strong knowledge of Irish accounting and tax regulations.
* Advanced Excel skills, e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups, data analysis.
* Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
