Automation Specialist - Pharmaceutical Production
This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a state-of-the-art facility in a historic seaside town. The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating the delivery and installation of processing equipment, working closely with vendors and engineering personnel.
The successful candidate will lead the project team or support the project manager in Factory Acceptance Testing, coordinate all equipment documentation requirements, commission equipment for validation activities, and prepare equipment training and maintenance protocols.
Key responsibilities include:
* Safely coordinate the delivery of processing equipment to site, adhering to planned timelines and scope.
* Coordinate equipment installation and services hook-up, working with vendors and engineering personnel.
* Lead the Project Team or support the Project Manager in Factory Acceptance Testing.
* Coordinate all equipment documentation requirements.
* Commission equipment for validation activities.
* Prepare equipment training and maintenance protocols.
* Report project progress to the Project Manager and provide advice on key outcomes.
* Contribute to team discussions on technical problem-solving forums related to product manufacture, aseptic fill, and packaging.
* Deliver Process Improvement projects.
* Work with Business Unit leaders to implement improvement opportunities.
* Lead regular Equipment/Facility Project review meetings.
* Attend weekly Tier Meetings.
* Attend monthly Department Meetings.
Requirements:
* A third-level qualification in Engineering, Science, or equivalent discipline/experience is required.
* Experience working within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry is advantageous but not necessary.
* Site experience in Automation or similar is required.
* Interpersonal skills are essential for operating in a multi-function project team environment.
