This is an exciting opportunity to join the sustainability department in BDO Ireland to manage client bids and provide operational support to the sustainability department. This is a new and growing division in the start up phase, so an opportunity to make your mark.Key ResponsibilitiesPre SalesLead client facing sustainability proposals and pitches as part of sustainability business development. These may originate from internal teams, RFPs direct, framework contracts or other bid sources.Take operational responsibility for individual formal bids and major proposalsManage and coordinate contributions for bids and proposals from sustainability and client principals and all other participants in specific bids and proposals.Produce accurate, high-quality, well-written and compliant bids, proposals and other related documentation.Develop and maintain a library of materials and templates to assist in the timely and effective production of bids e.g. corporate, and legal boiler plate material, customer case studies, solution FAQs.Track submitted bids and review customers post-bid to assess impact and effectiveness of our bids, recording lessons learned and providing continuous improvement suggestion.Protect the BDO brand by meeting standards for quality and delivery of customer commitments.Support Partners and senior managers on pre sales activities including business development related analysis, development of the sales pipeline, key account/client management and progress reporting. Manage the presales pipeline and budget, presenting progress reporting on a monthly basis.Operations SupportSupport Partners and senior team members to develop operations, compliance, quality and project management processes and systems.Manage the departments operations across business development, support to support the team deliver on our strategic objectives and client projects.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseHighly driven Bid Manager and Operations Support Manager with experience in sustainability or management consultancy.Track record in:Pre sales, business development, bid assessment and preparation;Support operations, new "Go To Market" offerings introduction and readiness supports.Strategic planning and analysis, Project management, quality programmes and process development. Management & Performance Reporting, liaison between business units/teams.Minimum undergraduate degree in a relevant business, management subject.Minimum 5 years relevant experience working as a Bid Manager and Operations Support Manager in sustainability ideally in a management consultancy capacity.Solution driven, analytical with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.Skilled in working with global teams, across all levels of business and in a cross-cultural, agile and fast-paced environment.Excellent relationship and network builder who likes to work in collaborative, vibrant teams.A confident and professional manner, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills, with clients and colleagues alike, to ensure clarity in all situations and to effectively influence.Strong team player with the ability to manage several projects, meet deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations.Strong project management skills ideally certified to industry qualifications. Examples include PMP (Project Management Professional), PM BOK, agile focused Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).Strong IT skills (Microsoft applications - PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Power-BI), tender resources and preparation tools; CRM and sales pipeline tools.
