Overall Purpose of the Role
The Document Control Specialist plays a key role in Bluebird Care Dublin South's Quality & Compliance function. The role is responsible for the governance, oversight, and lifecycle management of all controlled documentation across the organisation. Working within a regulated healthcare environment, the Specialist ensures that all policies, procedures, clinical governance documents, and regulatory records comply with HIQA standards, statutory requirements, and internal quality frameworks.
The position supports organisational audit readiness, strengthens compliance systems, and drives continuous quality improvement through effective document control and information management.

Essential
Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required
Minimum 2 years' experience in a regulated sector (healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device, or quality/compliance environment).
Demonstrated experience in document control, quality systems, compliance administration, or audit support.
Strong understanding of document governance principles, regulatory standards, version control, and audit documentation.
High proficiency with digital document management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, organisational, and technical writing skills.
Ability to interpret standards, follow compliance frameworks, and work independently with a high degree of accuracy.
