Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the execution of the operational plan to ensure optimal productivity and reliable execution.
2. Lead a team to ensure that all testing is completed on time, right first time, and to the required specification.
3. Optimize and report key performance indicators - quality, safety, productivity, on time delivery.
4. Ensure the provision of excellent customer service, identifying and implementing continuous improvements in efficiency and service.
5. People management responsibility, including coaching, motivation, recognition, attendance management, training oversight, performance management, development planning, and creating a positive team culture, enabling high engagement and retention.
6. Continuous feedback and communication to and from the team.
7. Carry out testing in accordance with valid testing procedures and regulatory requirements.
8. Work as part of the team ensuring customer expectations are met and exceeded.
9. Notify appropriate contacts and document results and investigations for any atypical or aberrant results.
10. Lead laboratory investigations and deviations if required.
Requirements:
* A science graduate degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or equivalent education/accreditation.
* Experience in analytical testing, ideally within a pharmaceutical environment.
