Litigation Lawyer – Insurance Sector – Dublin, Ireland
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading insurance business that is seeking an additional Lawyer to join their legal team for a fixed term contract (12 months). This is an exciting opportunity to work with experienced lawyers and litigators, providing legal support across the business.
In this role, you will manage a diverse caseload, focusing on risk-related insurance litigation. Your responsibilities will include providing legal advice, handling litigation and pre-litigation matters, attending court proceedings and instructing counsel. You will also contribute to strategic projects and legal team initiatives.
Key responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of litigation files.
* Provide legal advice on litigation and pre-litigation matters.
* Handle discoveries, mediations, settlements and court appearances.
* Draft pleadings, briefs and other court documents.
* Support strategic projects to enhance litigation functions.
* Engage with business partners across the organisation and participate in team meetings.
The ideal person
* Qualified Solicitor in Ireland with at least 4 years’ PQE in litigation (insurance defence preferred).
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
* Excellent drafting and legal reasoning abilities.
* Solid understanding of court procedures.
* Ability to manage workloads independently and work collaboratively.
* Proficiency in legal and document management software.
