Job Title: Warehouse Operative / Driver CoverPosition Overview: DAOL is looking for a Warehouse Operative & Relief Driver covering busy periods, holidays etc. This role is predominantly a Warehouse Operative Role with the person acting as a relief driver as and when the business requires.The main duties of the Warehouse Operative are:Organise, pick and pack orders for dispatch.Gather and organise appropriate paperwork for deliveries.Address and resolve stock problems as appropriate.Maintain cleanliness of warehouse.Sorting and arranging stock in bin locations in warehouse.Creating courier manifests.Load vans.Stock control and re-ordering.Storing and rotating stock according to established procedures.Reporting any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Managers or Supervisors.Utilise manual handling equipment.Follow all safety procedures in the performance of job duties.The main duties of delivery driver are:Organise, pick and pack orders for dispatch.Gather and organise appropriate paperwork for deliveries.Route planning and optimisation.Deliver office supplies & equipment to DAOL customer accounts meeting internal schedule and quality standards and any customer specific requirements.Provide excellent customer service to customers by assisting with problem resolution and accepting product returns as required.Safely and efficiently conduct multi-drop deliveries to designated locations.Handle and load packages, ensuring their safety during transportation.Verify the accuracy of packages and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.Maintain the company vehicle in good working condition and report any issues promptly.Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations.Required to provide back-up to warehouse staff, assisting with inbound and outbound duties as necessary.Accept returns from customers, completing appropriate paperwork and return to DAOL warehouse.What You'll Need:Category B driver's license.Good communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions given in written and oral form.Excellent customer service skills, conducting customer contact in a professional and courteous manner at all times.Work experience: At least 1 year's relevant work experience.
