The Representative Church Body (RCB) is responsible for providing assistance and advice to Church of Ireland parishes in relation to over 3,000 properties owned by the Church. These include churches, rectories, parish halls and graveyards throughout the island of Ireland. Many of these properties are of significant historical, cultural and architectural importance, either locally or nationally. We are looking for a highly motivated Property Officer to join our Property Team. The role will work under the direction of the Property Manager to assist with the effective administration of all property matters for the RCB. The Property Team reports to the Head of Property and Trusts and is part of the wider Property and Trusts Department Main Duties and Responsibilities To assist in liaising with parish and diocesan authorities to ensure compliance with Church and civil regulations on all property-related matters, including renovation, extension, acquisition and disposal of property. To assist with the management of all properties owned by, or under the stewardship of, the RCB To assist in preparing agenda papers for consideration by the Property Committee. To liaise with the Legal Department as required. To provide support and advice to parishes and dioceses in relation to grants for the maintenance or restoration of property. To be responsible for the administration of leases, licences and relevant taxes for RCB owned property To assist with the development of a Property Strategy including our commitment to address climate change. Candidate Profile Education and training Essential Qualification to degree level in a property related discipline. Desirable Estate/Facilities Management Qualificatio Experience Essential Minimum 2 years working within a comparably complex organisational environment.
