Organizational Background Information Opening for Hillebrand Gori Ireland LTD Role Title: Commercial Manager Business Unit: DHL Global Forwarding Location: Dublin Scope of Role: To lead and manage the Commercial Department ensuring that targets in relation to service procurement, quality, pricing and productivity are met at all times. Supporting the Head of Ocean Freight in all aspects of their role and providing cover when necessary Reports to: Head of Ocean Freight Hillebrand Gori Ireland General ResponsibilitiesKey AccountabilitiesSupplier and Carrier Management Identify new suppliers applying governance over the Manage SRM Manage existing suppliers and carriers through meetings / KPI's / correcting issues / ensure resource is available • Run tenders / negotiations Produce / manage agreements (SLA's) / contracts Ensure internal pricing systems are up to date including monthly audit checks Look for and implement cost savings Pricing Suggest / Implement pricing policy • Ensure pricing team are following policy Ensure internal pricing systems are up to date including monthly audit checks General Review team/departmental procedures. Suggest changes to provide positive improvements • Ensure a 'best in class' service is offered at all times Identify resource requirements in order to achieve agreed service standards Drive performance by training and coaching staff as required within own areas of responsibility Promote efficiency and profitability by encouraging and facilitating a climate of best practice and quality throughout the department Translate agreed objectives and priorities into clear plans for self and others Provide and effectively communicate direction and purpose for the teams using a variety of methods including team briefings/meetings Actively promote and maintain Group culture, style and standards within the company Interact with central buying (EO – Beaune Team) Client Development – external visits • Visits to other Hillebrand Gori offices Ensure operational compliance to all revenue and international trade legislative requirements, and all requirements under data protection legislation in addition to all company policies and procedures (H&S, Quality, Environmental, HR, etc), and work in a manner that supports the Company environment programme Additional Responsibilities :The above duties are not an exhaustive list.
