Your impact
We currently have an opportunity for a Process Safety Lead to join our Process Engineering department, based in our Dublin or Cork Office. A key member of the Design Safety and Environmental Compliance department, with responsibility for management & execution of the Process Safety deliverable for projects within the Ireland Life Sciences business. You will report directly to the Design Safety and Environmental Compliance Manager, Ireland Life Science and participate in regular Project meetings to coordinate & execute Process Safety deliverables.
Key Responsibilities Of The Role

Support our engineering department in the application of Process Safety elements as per the project design stages
Manage and lead PHA programmes for the projects within the Ireland Life Sciences business
Coordinate Process Safety resources within the Process department to ensure project deliverables are executed on time
Coaching and mentoring of junior members of the Process Safety team
Generate Pro Service man‑hour estimates and presenting to support bids for potential new project wins
Champion a culture of Process Safety excellence across projects
Collaborate with the global network of Jacobs Life Science members to discover and implement process improvement efforts
Continue to grow the process safety team

Here’s what you’ll need

A primary degree in Chemical Engineering or a related qualification
Demonstrated experience in Process Safety Management. Experience of participating and preferably chairing Process Safety Reviews (HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA)
Demonstrated experience in ATEX, Machinery Safety Risk assessments and CE marking
Proven leadership abilities and experience within highly regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals or alternatively within a design consultancy
Proven ability to work as part of a team, liaising directly with client and other project team members
