This role is responsible for implementing health, safety, and environmental management programs to protect employees and communities. The position requires a strategic thinker who can develop and implement effective HSE strategies and action plans.
Responsibilities:
* Develop comprehensive HSE strategies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements.
* Conduct thorough incident investigations, risk assessments, and compliance audits to identify areas for improvement.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and company standards.
* Oversee internal and external audits in the HSE area of responsibility.
* Analyze data to propose new measures and procedures to mitigate risks.
* Investigate accidents/incidents and identify root causes to prevent reoccurrence.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
* Professional Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Legislation (desired).
* 8 years of relevant experience in the HSE area of expertise in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience in the pharmaceutical industry (desired).
* Proven leadership and time management skills.
