Job Summary

Duties
* Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the diverse needs of students.
* Teach English language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening, through innovative instructional methods.
* Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
* Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and collaboration.
* Organise extracurricular activities related to English language and literature to enhance student engagement.
* Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the educational programme.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behaviour in accordance with school policies.
Qualifications
* A recognised teaching qualification in English or a related field is essential.
* Previous experience teaching English at the secondary or further education level is preferred.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage students effectively.
* Proficiency in using technology as a teaching tool is advantageous.
* A passion for literature and a commitment to fostering a love for reading among students.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative in lesson planning and classroom management.
