Job Title: Claims Manager Location: South Dublin Working Model: Hybrid - 2 days in office Abrivia are partnering with a major global insurer to appoint a Claims Manager within their Motor Damage area.
This leadership role involves directing a large team, managing key broker and corporate accounts, and ensuring smooth, client-focused claims operations.
The position combines people management, stakeholder engagement, and the delivery of service improvements to strengthen the business in a competitive market.
Your Role Direct and support a team of approximately 20 claims professionals across Dublin and an outsourced service provider.
Act as the main contact for priority brokers and large commercial clients, resolving issues quickly and maintaining strong service levels.
Build long-term relationships through ongoing communication and client visits.
Track performance standards and reporting outputs to maintain accuracy and consistency.
Drive innovation and efficiency, particularly around digital tools and simplified claims handling.
Contribute to wider divisional planning with senior management, ensuring competitive positioning in the market.
Create an open and collaborative culture within the team, encouraging feedback and accountability.
Lead projects aimed at reducing administration and improving the overall broker and client journey.
Your Skills Solid management background in claims or commercial insurance.
Proven record of handling broker or corporate client relationships.
Experience developing and motivating large teams (15+ people).
Excellent communication and influencing skills.
CIP, Dip CII, or equivalent qualification is advantageous.
Motor or commercial claims experience preferred, though senior candidates from a broking background with leadership experience will also be considered.
