WHO YOU ARE
Someone who has a passion for kitchens, has attention to detail, and is confident in approaching customers and treating them in a polite and friendly manner. A person who is passionate about actively offering all the services available in the IKEA store to help customers make informed choices, resulting in a great shopping experience. You are open-minded and have the ability to problem solve. Experience in sales or customer service is required. Furniture designing/planning is desirable, along with good knowledge of IT systems.
Previous Kitchen Planning experience is desirable, as is experience supervising a team or taking extra responsibility in your role.
CONTRACT INFORMATION
We offer a contract of 39 hours per week with an additional monthly allowance. We operate 7 days a week to meet the shopping needs of our customers, and this role will require availability to work during the day, late evenings, and full weekends. Flexibility on availability will be discussed during interviews. We offer permanent contracts, advanced scheduling, and regular weekends off.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING ON THE DAY-TO-DAY
* You provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.
* You actively engage with our customers to identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their home through furnishings.
* You share your knowledge and enthusiasm about the range and design of home furnishings with customers.
* You ensure your areas are clean, well-presented, and easy to shop, supporting maximized sales.
* You interact proactively with customers, providing excellent 1-1 service during appointments.
* You will plan and design kitchens for up to 2 hours, followed by 30-60 minutes to provide plans, worktop, and installation quotations.
* You support responding to customer emails and securing payments both in-store and remotely.
* You call future appointments to confirm bookings and guide customers on measuring rooms and setting expectations.
* You assist with opening and closing routines and general housekeeping of the kitchen team.
