About The Role
Acenture delivers integrated finance and accounting services to a global technology client across six delivery locations, supporting operations in 125 countries with more than 500 roles worldwide covering 36 languages.
In Dublin, our local team supports Record-to-Report processes, complemented by a back-office team. This client-facing role reports directly to the SDL and will be responsible for managing month-end close processes, supporting day-to-day operations, stabilizing new scope transitions, and driving process improvement initiatives.
The role serves as the single point of contact for the client, with additional support from the Cluster Lead and AFS Lead on deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
* Month-End Close: Lead and support monthly fiscal close processes across client legal entities, ensuring delivery within SLA and tight deadlines. Provide oversight and guidance to the back-office team.
* SOX Compliance: Review journal entries and reconciliations using workflow tools, ensuring compliance with Accenture and client internal controls, as well as third-party SOX requirements. Safeguard the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data.
* Financial Reporting: Assist with the completion of statutory and statistical reporting, including submissions to the CSO.
* Process Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, including process re-engineering. Collaborate with clients and global third parties on improvement projects.
* Query Management: Manage responses to auditor, client, and third-party queries, ensuring smooth operations and issue resolution.
* Coaching & Development: Support and mentor staff across multiple teams to consistently deliver high-quality service beyond SLA expectations.
* Client Relationship Management: Partner with the client’s Financial Controller and team to ensure SLA compliance, resolve escalations, and represent Accenture in client meetings.
* Ad Hoc Projects: Support the wider One Finance Team and SDL on new projects and initiatives as they arise.
Qualifications:
* University degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (preferred).
* Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
* 6–7 years of financial/statutory accounting experience, including preparation of management and statutory accounts to external audit, SOX, and internal controls standards.
* Multinational and multicurrency experience is highly desirable.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; SAP experience is an advantage.
