The Opportunity
We are seeking a Care Manager to oversee the coordination, quality, and delivery of care services across Kildare. This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse or someone with a full QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support qualification who has significant hands‑on care experience with supervisory experience and is ready to step into a leadership position. You will play a key role in supporting our care team, ensuring best practice in care delivery, maintaining compliance, and driving continuous improvement in service quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage care delivery across assigned regions to ensure excellence and compliance with Bluebird Care quality standards
* Conduct care assessments, develop care plans, and review cases regularly
* Provide guidance, support, and supervision to Healthcare Assistants
* Support recruitment, induction, and performance management of care staff
* Monitor care quality and customer satisfaction, implementing improvements as needed
* Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and communication within the care team
* Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and community partners to achieve the best outcomes for clients
Qualifications & Experience
* Registered Nurse (RGN/RNID/RPN) or holder of a full QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support Award
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a healthcare or community care setting with supervisory experience
* Proven ability to lead, support, and motivate care teams
* Excellent communication, organisational, and administrative skills
* Full clean driving licence
* Desirable: Supervisory or management experience in the healthcare sector
* Knowledge of home care best practices
* Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, CRM systems, etc.)
