Overview
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the APC team! This is a full‑time in‑person role, based at our Platin project site. The core working hours are 8:00 am–5:00 pm (including a 1‑hour break), Monday to Friday.
Position Summary
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for helping to estimate costs, quantities, and project timelines and providing this information to clients. You will be liaising with a variety of other teams and helping to keep a project on track.
Responsibilities
Liaising with clients to identify their needs.
Agree procurement schedules and ensure procurement function is coordinated across the various company divisions.
Agree framework deals with key subcontractors and suppliers.
Daily / weekly engagement with company accounts department to report on projects, costs, value and predicted outturn.
Ensure close monitoring of all commercial aspects of projects and adequate recovery of variations.
Monitoring and administering construction contracts and ensuring any risks to the company are highlighted and managed appropriately.
Estimating quantities, costs and time scales for material and labour.
Preparing tender and contract documents.
Identifying and weighing up commercial risks.
Assigning work to subcontractors.
Valuing completed work, managing budgets and overseeing payments.
Ensuring projects meet legal and quality standards.
Advising on the maintenance costs of specific buildings.
Submitting regular reports.
Submitting regular budget reports.
Other related duties as assigned.
Maintain & implement Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Systems meeting the needs of ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and any subsequent or related standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Must have a valid driver license.
Strong communication, coordination, and time management skills.
Skilled in Microsoft programs such as Excel and Word.
