You'll also have the responsibility of leading a dedicated small quality team.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Control: lead and develop the team of QA's, manage daily safety and quality of products, liaising closely with production teams. Investigation of complaints and report of findingsIssue Identification & correction: Identify potential quality issues and work on corrections with the production department, escalate to the technical director as requiredData Analysis: Analyse quality control data to identify trends and implement corrective actions to maintain product standards, present in the monthly food safety meetingsRoot Cause Analysis: Act as site lead to ensure RCA is implemented as appropriate, using the 5 why's technique to reduce reoccurrence and improve efficiency within the siteCommunication: Effectively communicate quality issues and resolutions within the QA team and with other stakeholders such as production supervisors and line workersStakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, maintaining assertiveness when addressing quality concerns while fostering a collaborative working environmentCompliance: Ensure the implementation and adherence to food safety regulations, customer requirements, and internal standards, communicating these effectively to all levels within the company. Ensure traceability of all products/materials throughout the production processTeamwork: Work closely with production, hygiene, QA and NPD teams to ensure continuous improvementRole DeliverablesAttention to Detail: Ability to perform repetitive tasks consistently while maintaining high levels of accuracyProblem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly grasp complex conceptsTime Management: Efficiently manage daily tasks to ensure all duties are completed within designated timeframesCommunication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to work cross-functionally and at various levels of the organizationAdaptability & Flexibility: Willingness to learn and adapt to changes within the businessWork Environment: This role is based in a meat processing facility. The role may require visiting one of our UK production facilities.
