We are looking for an enthusiastic Electrical Estimating Assistant to join our team in Cork.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate records of project documents, including reports, drawings, photographs, and cost breakdowns.
Assist with tender submissions by ensuring all related documentation is properly filed, updated, and accessible.
Support the development of detailed cost estimates covering labour, materials, plant, and subcontractor elements for electrical installation and upgrade projects.
Review technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify project requirements and potential risks.
Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain and evaluate quotations.
Collaborate with senior estimators to update cost databases and refine pricing models.
Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and quality procedures.
Participate in post-tender evaluations to capture insights and improve future estimates.
Skills & Competencies
Strong document management and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with estimating or asset management software (e.g., Maximo) is a plus.
Excellent analytical and mathematical ability.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
