We are seeking a highly skilled Design Innovation Leader to join our team. As Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will lead the mechanical design of cutting-edge robotics and secondary packaging equipment.
Job Description:
* You will drive design innovation, mentor junior engineers, and play a critical role in delivering high-quality solutions from concept through Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
* Own projects from concept through to completion, including Design Qualification (DQ), FAT, and SAT support Ensure designs comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), CE marking, and industry-specific safety standards.
* Work cross-functionally with Controls, Electrical, and Project Management teams Perform risk assessments, DFMEA analysis tolerance stack-ups responsibility for detailed 3D models designing using SolidWorks or similar CAD software collaborating suppliers optimising cost performance ease assembly abilities Mentor coach junior mechanical designers engineers continuously evaluate technologies materials methodologies machine performance reliability implementing strategies improve efficiency productivity best-practice BOMs manufacturing drawings here GMP compliance expertise working closely supplier cooperation certifying mechanism as fit-for-purpose.
