We are seeking a skilled Counselling Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with clients on a one-to-one basis, conducting assessments and providing therapy in short and long term contracts. You will also be responsible for managing risk issues and maintaining appropriate client records.
To be successful in this position, you will need to have experience of conducting assessments and providing one-to-one therapy with a range of client presenting issues. You should also have knowledge and experience of working with current child protection requirements and using IT to support counselling work. Additionally, you must hold a qualification at Level 7 or higher on the QQI framework in a human science discipline or hold a qualification at Level 7 or higher in a health and social care profession.

Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct assessments and individual counselling with clients
* Establish appropriate counselling contracts and maintain an assigned caseload
* Manage and appropriately bring clinical governance issues to Coordinator – risk, child protection etc.
* Effectively communicate with team members, other professionals and clients
* Maintain appropriate client records, databases and statistics
* Engage and participate in Case Management Supervision, team meetings, external supervision and continuing professional development initiatives
