Job Overview
NL&P Claims Management Limited are recruiting a Legal Costs Accountant to work with them in the negotiation of legal costs. This is a varied and challenging role suitable for a dynamic and target driven individual.
Role
The role will include the negotiation of Plaintiff Solicitor’s costs after conclusion of litigation, preparing and submitting own Bills in accordance with the various SLAs that they have with clients and also negotiating costs in respect of Plaintiff litigation in which they are involved.
Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years experience working in legal costs negotiation
Good understanding of court procedures and rules in respect of costs together with experience of taxations and adjudications
Highly organised and results focused
Detail orientated with strong understanding of the requirements and parameters of our insurer/indemnifier clients
Strong IT and administrative skills
Ability to work independently but also as part of a team to form effective working relationships.
