Medforce is proud to partner with a leading Primary Care team in Galway to recruit Staff Grade and Senior Grade Psychologists for their Child Services division. About the Role:
You will work within a supportive Primary Care environment providing psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions to children with a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs.
Key Responsibilities of the Psychologist:
* Deliver high-quality psychological assessments and evidence-based interventions
* Support children with emotional, social, and developmental difficulties
* Collaborate closely with families, schools, and other professionals
* Participate in team meetings, care planning, and service development
* (Senior Role) Provide clinical supervision and mentoring to junior staff
* (Senior Role) Lead on service improvement and quality initiatives
Requirements for the Psychologist:
Staff Grade:
* A recognised postgraduate qualification in Clinical, Counselling, or Educational Psychology
* CORU registration (or eligible)
* Experience working with children in a clinical or educational setting
* Strong communication and organisational skills
Senior Grade:
* Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience (must include paediatric experience)
* Experience in leading service development or quality improvement initiatives
* Proven skills in supervision, complex case management, and MDT collaboration
