**Financial Controller Role Summary:**
We are seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced professional to take on a challenging role with significant responsibilities.
The Financial Controller will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial activities of the company, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and develop two financial assistants working on the month-end process from AP to AR to General Ledger & Reconciliations
* Own the payroll vendor relationship, liaising with HR on BIK etc and being the point of contact for internal payroll queries
* Become main point of contact for external Auditors
* Full ownership of banking relationships, month-end, board reporting, treasury, cash flow and company secretarial duties
* Deliver balance sheet accuracy
* Oversee bank reconciliations and fixed asset register
* Ensure VAT, Tax & RCT are always up to date on ROS
* All fleet management falls under the responsibility of the Finance Department, as well as IT Requirements
Requirements:
* Accountancy qualification is essential. Construction sector experience would be preferred
* Communication is key this role will work with a variety of stakeholders from Bankers & Auditors to Site foremen & Project Managers
* Each project is treated like its own entity, hence experience of Work In Progress (WIP) reporting would be ideal
