Maintenance Manager – Cork, Ireland
The Maintenance Manager will oversee maintenance and repair of all equipment, machinery, and systems within the industrial facility.
This position ensures operations run efficiently, equipment is maintained at optimal performance, and downtime is minimized.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy to ensure uninterrupted operations.
* Plan and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to optimize asset reliability and performance.
* Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with safety standards, company policies, and relevant legislation.
Team Leadership & Supervision:
* Manage, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians to ensure high levels of technical performance.
* Assign tasks and responsibilities based on the skills and experience of the team.
* Provide performance feedback and conduct regular evaluations of staff performance.
Inventory & Spare Parts Management:
* Oversee the inventory of spare parts and tools to ensure availability and minimize downtime.
* Develop and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to source necessary parts and services.
Budgeting & Cost Control:
* Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
* Track and report maintenance-related costs and find opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality or safety.
Continuous Improvement:
* Lead the effort to identify opportunities for improvement in equipment reliability and maintenance processes.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and encourage innovative approaches to problem-solving.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
* Certification in maintenance management or related fields (e.g., CMRP, CRL, etc.) is a plus.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
* Proven experience leading a team of technicians and managing maintenance projects.
