Junior Civil Engineer/Site Engineer
David Walsh Civil Engineering Ltd is a family-owned business, providing a wide range of high-quality civil engineering, utility infrastructure and residential construction services and solutions throughout Ireland.
Due to continued growth and expansion, we are seeking a Junior Civil Engineer/Site Engineer to support the delivery of projects across the South/South East and Leinster regions. These are full-time roles, ideal for degree-qualified candidates who want to develop their careers with a recognised industry leader.
Minimum Requirements:
· Degree in Civil Engineering or a related qualification (relevant site experience an advantage).
· Some site-based industry experience preferred (e.g., placement, internship, or up to 2 years' experience).
· Familiarity with setting out equipment such as GPS, robotic total station, and levelling equipment.
· Strong technical ability with good problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD experience desirable.
· Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
Main Responsibilities:
· Assist the site management team in the overall delivery of civils/utilities projects.
· Support setting out, surveying, and checking works as they progress.
· Carry out site measurements and contribute to surveys/drawings under senior guidance.
· Maintain accurate project records, including documentation, reports, and photographic evidence.
· Proactively assist in resolving technical challenges as they arise.
· Work collaboratively with site teams, support departments, subcontractors, and clients.
