Finance at Wayfair is tasked with delivering clean, accurate and fast financial information. We own the accuracy, structuring and availability of the financial data that powers Wayfair's data-driven and cost-conscious culture.We are recruiting anAccounting and Reporting Intern to support our Accounting & Reporting team. This role is crucial in providing comprehensive US GAAP and Local GAAP accounting for our European entities within a fast-growing, high-volume business. You'll be working as part of a committed European Accounting & Reporting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting.We're looking for someone ambitious who can adapt and grow in the role, collaborating effectively with their immediate team and our wider Finance organisation. You should be a Finance or Accounting student with the ambition to pursue a career in Accountancy or Finance. You will enjoy working as part of an international, multicultural environment and be adept at communicating effectively with a range of people and teams.What You'll DoAssist the accounting team with preparing journal entries;Prepare monthly reconciliations for US GAAP and statutory financial reporting;Provide accounting and financial analysis to management and stakeholders;Complete various checks and controls to ensure accurate and complete financial reporting;Assist with ad-hoc and internal audit requests;Gather data and respond to stakeholder queries;Participate in local, regional and global projects, as required;Assist team members with various month-end and ad-hoc tasks.What You'll NeedCurrently studying for or graduated with a Business, Finance or Accounting degree;Excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluent in English);Experience with MS Office, with excellent knowledge of Excel;Exceptional attention to detail;Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure that deadlines are consistently met;Previous experience in Accounting is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided;The right to work in Ireland (Irish/EEA citizen or a valid work permit such as Stamp 1G).Assistance for Individuals with DisabilitiesWayfair is fully committed to providing equal opportunities for all individuals, including individuals with disabilities.
