Technical Business Development Manager - County Clare
Our client seeks a hands-on Business Development Manager who targets potential projects, secures business, and actively manages ongoing projects. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will develop new business and manage relationships with key accounts.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Achieve sales targets and personal objectives set by the Managing Director
2. Identify and target potential clients, network, and build relationships
3. Conduct regular market, competitor, and sector analysis
4. Hold communication meetings with project team members throughout projects
5. Proactively develop project pipeline
6. Complete and submit regular sales reports
7. Ensure bid accuracy and deliverability at agreed margins
8. Follow business processes for new contract setups
9. Ensure seamless handover to Operations
10. Travel to trade shows
11. Deliver presentations to new and existing customers
Skills & Experience:
* Expert knowledge of the subcontract engineering industry, specifically precision CNC machining
* Strong commercial awareness and proposal development skills
* Excellent PC and organizational skills; report and presentation preparation
* Project management experience across manufacturing sectors including sales, quality, purchasing, engineering, and production
* Proven ability to meet targets and KPIs
* Strong solutions sales experience
