Job Title: Development Manager
This role is a pivotal position within our organization, where you will be responsible for shaping the future of housing in Ireland.
You will oversee the entire development life-cycle of projects, from site acquisition and planning to construction completion and handover. Your expertise will drive new development opportunities to increase our housing supply and formulate a development programme.
We are seeking a driven and experienced professional who can establish strong relationships with external stakeholders and ensure that new business opportunities are financially viable.
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant third-level qualification in Real Estate, Property Management or a related discipline, as well as experience in project management and securing funding.
Responsibilities:
* Source, identify, and appraise potential development sites in Dublin, ensuring they meet social housing needs and align with company objectives.
* Lead the pre-planning process, liaising with architects, engineers, and local authorities to secure planning permission.
* Manage project budgets and secure funding from public and private sources, including government grants and partnerships.
* Oversee the design and construction phases of projects, ensuring compliance with social housing standards and sustainability best practices.
* Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including architects, contractors, consultants, local authorities, and residents.
* Ensure adherence to social value principles, promoting opportunities for local employment and training during construction.
* Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and delays, implementing solutions to maintain time-lines and budgets.
Requirements:
* A relevant third-level qualification in Real Estate, Property Management or a related discipline.
* Development/ Project Management experience necessary.
* Strong understanding of the residential housing landscape in Dublin and relevant government policies.
* Excellent knowledge of planning and development regulations.
* Experience in securing funding and managing project budgets.
