Inventory Management Professional
The Inventory Management Professional plays a pivotal role in spearheading the optimization of inventory control and levels within an organization. This critical position entails strategic planning, execution, and monitoring of inventory flow to ensure seamless availability of products at the right time, place, and quantity.
This highly skilled professional reports directly to the Head of Supply Chain and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including Planning, Sourcing, Purchasing, Logistics, Production, and Warehouse staff, to maintain optimal inventory levels, minimize excess stock, prevent stockouts, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records
* Optimize inventory turnover and reduce holding costs
* Implement efficient inventory management systems and processes
* Develop and execute strategies to improve inventory accuracy and visibility
* Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address inventory-related issues
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Inventory Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or Operations Management
* Minimum 2-5 years' experience in inventory management, logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations
* Proficiency in inventory software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics)
* Advanced Excel skills for data analysis
* Familiarity with lean or just-in-time (JIT) practices
