Our Daytime TV Show, Ireland:AM, seeks an ambitious Production Assistant eager to learn and grow in a live TV environment. This entry-level role offers excellent development opportunities within Virgin Media TV.
Specific Duties & Tasks:
* Greeting TV show visitors
* Managing front-of-house services, arrivals, and departures
* Providing digital social support to the production team
* Conducting TV research as needed
* Supporting pre-recorded and live TV shoots
* Assisting backstage with performances and visiting talent
* Ensuring team members have up-to-date scripts
* Standing in for colleagues in their absence
* Preparing guest rooms, studios, and other areas for live TV
* Performing general admin tasks, updating sign-in sheets, replying to emails and social media queries
* Generating, pitching, and developing show content
* Setting up virtual guests via Skype, Zoom, Google Meet
* Liaising with agents, handlers, and fielding last-minute queries
* Managing last-minute changes and communicating effectively
* Ensuring Covid compliance for visitors
* Managing arrivals of stylists, models, and fashion accessories
Skills & Expertise:
* Enthusiasm and energy for meeting new people and building relationships
* Strong IT skills; passion for live TV, social media, and digital production
* Ability to represent the Virgin Media brand positively and make guests feel welcome
* Problem-solving skills with confidence in troubleshooting
* Knowledge of Virgin Media TV’s daytime programming – Ireland:AM
* Proactive initiative and eagerness to learn
* Awareness of food hygiene and health & safety is a plus
