If so, we have the job for you You will be responsible for leading the Utilities & Pumping and Shipping Production Unit Team to achieve safe, environmentally compliant, reliable, and efficient operations in support of the Edmonton refinery objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
* Ten years' experience in refining or related industrial operations
* Five years leadership experience, preferably in a unionized environment
* Proven superior leadership skills to influence and lead a diverse team
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to build strong and positive relationships across a diverse stakeholder group
* Ability to manage a complex work environment and to interact and influence at all levels of the company
* Proven decision-making and analytical skills coupled with an attitude of continuous improvement
Responsibilities:
* Lead the production, maintenance and overall efficient operation of the area assets by creating a culture where every team member can give their best
* Manage safety and process safety risks to personnel, the environment and production by operationally disciplined application of Suncor OEMS and all applicable regulations, practices and programs.
* Lead and develop personnel to form a skilled, motivated, and highly capable operating team
* Ensure area assets are available to achieve refinery performance targets
* Make key operating decisions to balance risk and the refinery performance targets
* Oversee the development and execution of the area's operating expense (OPEX) and capital (CAPEX) plans
* Ensure thorough follow up to area incidents, operational threats, and unplanned outages by disciplined application of pertinent standards and practices (incident management, safe operating limits, asset strategies, operational discipline, etc.).
* Foster strong positive relationships with key partners to achieve refinery performance targets
* Ensure compliance with the collective agreement and site labour relations practices
Location and other Key Details :
* You will work out of our Edmonton refinery in Sherwood Park, located at 801 Petroleum Way
* Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
* After-hours and on-call support required
* Emergency Operations Centre on call support required on a six-week rotation
* This position is safety sensitive
* Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
