Lead Recruiter - Accountancy & Finance at Savvy People
Our client, a small but growing & progressive accountancy practice in Cork are looking for an experienced practice Accountant to join their team on a hybrid (Cork) or remote (in Ireland) basis. You will be reporting directly to the Partner.
You will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of clients, delivering accounting, compliance, and advisory services.

Responsibilities:
* Act as the main point of contact for a varied portfolio of SME clients.
* Develop and nurture strong client relationships.
* Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with Irish accounting standards and regulations.
* Oversee the preparation and review of working papers and periodic management accounts.
* Prepare corporation and income tax returns.
* Identify tax planning opportunities for clients.
* Company secretarial services and CFO filings.
* Offer tailored business and financial advisory services to meet the clients' specific needs.
* Streamline workflows and improve processes.
* Stay up-to-date with changed in Irish accounting and tax regulations.
What we require from you?
* Fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA).
* At least 6-7 years' of recent experience in an Irish accountancy practice. The role is suitable for candidates coming from a small firm or a medium sized practice. Extensive accounts preparation experience in practice is essential.
* Experience managing a diverse client portfolio.
* Strong technical knowledge of Irish accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
* Proficiency in Sage Accounts Production and MS Office Suite. Experience with Sage 50/Xero an advantage.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
