Client Services – Accountant

Responsibilities
Oversight of client deliverables within the client portfolio to ensure adherence to corporate service agreement.
Ensuring high levels of service delivery including acting as a primary point of contact for operations issue resolution. Acting as the internal technical lead for the client portfolio.
Working closely with offshore servicing teams to ensure a high quality and supremely coordinated service is delivered to client relationships.
Reviewing periodic management accounts and financial statements to required standard and deadlines.
Preparing accounting memos on such topics as going concern, impairment, lease classification, etc.
Reviewing transaction documents to ensure adherence to any requirements stipulated therein and extracting relevant data for the preparation of the financial reporting deliverables.
Liaison with auditors to plan the annual audit and manage the audit query process to ensure timely completion within client and/or statutory deadlines.
Preparation of periodic tax and compliance returns e.g., VAT returns, FATCA, CRS, etc.
Liaison with the tax advisors to ensure corporation tax filings and payments submitted within statutory deadlines.
Ensuring client fully compliant with other regulatory obligations e.g., EMIR, CBI Reporting, etc.
Attending and presenting at board meetings and drafting related board papers and minutes.
Managing the on-boarding of new client entities from a client services perspective.
Coordinating with our Business Development team in identifying and following up on business opportunities and the development of our services.
Sharing information and providing training, guidance, advice, and assistance to other team members as required.
Ad-hoc project work, as required, including the assessment of new legislation relevant to client SPV’s.
Understanding and speaking knowledgeably about Apex Group services and its values.
Skills Required
Typically 2-3 years industry experience.
Qualified Accountant.
Expert knowledge of IFRS and Irish GAAP.
Ability to work on own initiative and take full ownership of client portfolio.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, complex and dynamic work environment.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills.
Knowledge of corporate governance, relevant local laws and regulatory requirements would be a distinct advantage.
