About The RoleThe role – what is it we would like you to do?Currie & Brown is currently looking for an M&E Cost Consultant for our Dublin office. The successful candidate will support our directors in generating a high standard of service delivery on a wide range of private and public sector projects, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider.Your core duties will involveProviding accurate cost advice and reporting to our clientAssisting Director delivering projects, commissions and professional assignmentAssuming a leading role in setting objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team playermaintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects; liaising with other managers to ensure efficient financial controlundertaking commercial management services with limited supervisiondelivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner, working under minimum supervisionproviding support to the project director in cost management of projectrepresenting the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationshipproducing Bills of Quantities for M&E works, including medium and high voltage infrastructure works., pre contract budgeting, bid levelling and post contract work.What skills and attributes are we looking for from youBSc in quantity surveying or equivalentmembership of the Society of Chartered Surveyors (SCSI) – If not Chartered, on the road to chartershipA minimum of two years' technical delivery experienceexperience of Public Sector Procurement in Ireland relating to M&E ServicesPre- and post-contract experience using PW-CF1 & 5 relating to M&E ServicesExperience of project cost control, including management & negotiation claimsGood client-facing and communication skillWell-organized, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astuteA team player with a 'can-do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexibleCostX experience preferred, but not essentialDriving LicenceAbility to pass Garda Vetting and Security Clearance procedureWhy choose Currie & Brown?Unlike some businesses, we prioritise for the long term and honour our commitments.
