About This Role
This is a high-stakes role that involves leading government relations strategy in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The ideal candidate will be a diplomatic and strategic thinker with deep knowledge of the EMEA region's political and regulatory frameworks.
Main Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute comprehensive government relations strategies that support business objectives in the EMEA region.
2. Monitor and analyze regulatory proposals and political trends to advise leadership on potential impacts and advocate for policy positions beneficial to the organization and its stakeholders.
3. Establish and nurture relationships with government officials, regulatory agencies, trade associations, and other key influencers in the EMEA political environment.
4. Proactively identify issues that could impact the organization and lead the response strategy to minimize risks.
5. Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
6. Work collaboratively with internal teams such as Public Affairs, Legal, Compliance, and Business Units to integrate government relations activities with broader company strategies.
7. Craft messaging and position statements on policy issues, preparing briefing materials for executive leadership and representing the organization at public events as required.
