The Role We are seeking an experienced Project Manager Data Governance to support a growing organisation within the insurance sector through a key data governance programme.
This is a hands-on role requiring flexibility, autonomy, and the ability to wear multiple hats in a fast-moving environment.
You will play a central role in delivering data governance initiatives, reviewing internal governance processes, and supporting GDPR compliance, working closely with stakeholders across the business.
This is not a heavily process-driven multinational tech environment it will suit someone comfortable operating with pragmatism, common sense, and minimal bureaucracy.
Key Responsibilities Lead and deliver a Data Governance programme, including: Data policies and standards Data retention frameworks Governance best practices Review and enhance internal governance structures, with a focus on GDPR compliance Act as a hands-on PM, with flexibility to support: Business analysis Testing and validation Stakeholder coordination Produce light-touch project documentation (status updates, tracking, reporting) aligned to the internal PMO framework Work closely with a growing team in a business that has scaled from 40 to 90 employees Engage with stakeholders primarily across finance and actuarial functions Environment & Ways of Working Insurance-sector organisation with the agility of a smaller business and the backing of a wider group Informal, pragmatic PMO framework outcomes over process High level of autonomy and trust Collaborative, grown-up working culture Experience & Skills Required Proven experience delivering Data Governance initiatives Strong understanding of GDPR and regulatory governance Solid Project Management background, with experience wearing multiple hats Comfortable in flexible, evolving environments rather than rigid enterprise tech structures Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills An experienced, adaptable professional who knows how to get things done Why Apply? €500 per day 9-month contract with extension potential High autonomy and meaningful impact Opportunity to shape data governance in a growing organisation Skills: Prince 2 Data Governance Project Manager Data Governance PM Insurance Benefits: Work From Home
