The Opportunity: We are looking for an enthusiastic & proactive individual with the ability to work on their own initiative to effectively support the preparation of planning permission applications for bus shelters across the Republic of Ireland. This will involve site visits, measurement and assessment of proposed locations and the production of all necessary planning drawings in compliance with local authority requirements. The Role: Conduct on-site surveys to gather accurate measurements and assess existing conditions for proposed bus shelter installations Prepare detailed 2D drawings, including location maps, site layouts, elevations and sections to accompany planning applications. Ensure drawings meet all local planning authority standards and technical requirements. Liaise with local authorities, engineers and project managers to ensure clarity and full compliance of submitted documentation Work effectively to meet deadlines for planning submission schedules. Integrate any required revisions or updates to drawings based on feedback from stakeholders or planning authorities accordingly Maintain a high standard of records of all site visits, measurements and drawing revisions Essential Criteria: Minimum level 6 QQI qualification in a relevant discipline (Architectural; Technology; Civil Engineering or Drafting) Strong knowledge and understanding of planning regulations in ROI and experience of similar type planning application preparation with demonstrated proficiency of preparing drawings in AutoCAD (2D) Familiarity with Ordnance Survey Ireland (OSI) mapping standards and site location mapping conventions Strong attention to detail and accuracy in both measurement and drawing output Ability to work independently under own initiative and prioritize and plan work appropriately to meet deadlines Excellent Communications skills and ability to work effectively with external business partners and clients Experience of working as part of an operational team and make a positive contribution to the wider business Experience with GIS tools, Revit or 3D visualization software; basic understanding of accessibility requirements (TII standards, universal design principles) would be advantageous Clean full driving license (Company vehicle provided) and eligibility to work in Ireland with a good geographical knowledge Skills: Planning Applications Technical Drawing Site Surveying Ordnance Survey Ireland mapping standards Planning Regulations Detail-Orientated Benefits: Company Vehicle Laptop Mobile Phone Pension Fund Performance Bonus Group Life Assurance
