Description of the role:
Joe Lunghamer Chevrolet Inc is seeking a Parts Advisor to join our team. Are you the ideal candidate? Are you organized, customer-focused, and ready to keep our service department humming? We're looking for a Parts Advisor to manage inventory, assist technicians and provide top-tier service to our retail and wholesale customers. Applicants must have a great deal of work ethic. Applicants must value the virtue of duty (you do what is asked of you without strife as long as it is not: unsafe or unethical). Must be capable of working in a team atmosphere because you are not just serving the external guests but the individuals you work with.
What You'll Do:
Identify and source automotive parts for various makes and models
Manage inventory flow, including receiving shipments and organizing the department
Provide accurate quotes and technical advice to customers and service technicians
Maintain a clean, efficient parts department environment
Be willing to learn and adapt to new technology in the automotive dealership world
Physical Requirements:
Lifting & Carrying: Ability to frequently lift and move objects such as tires, brake rotors and batteries
Mobility: Regularly required to bend, stoop, crouch and reach to stock or retrieve parts from high shelving
What We're Looking For:
Experience: Previous dealership experience is a major plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate which a strong automotive background
Skills: Strong communication, basic computer proficiency and a knack for multitasking
Licensing: Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
