Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager with strong ground-up construction experience to oversee a project in South Wicklow. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities
Manage all on-site activities from project commencement through to completion
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies
Maintain high standards of quality control and workmanship
Manage site programmes and ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved
Liaise closely with project managers, engineers, design teams, and clients
Conduct site meetings and provide regular progress reports
Manage materials, plant, and logistics efficiently
Resolve on-site issues proactively and professionally
Requirements
Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Site Manager on ground-up construction projects
Proven experience working for a main contractor
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
In-depth knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and best practices
Excellent understanding of health & safety legislation
Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades effectively
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Relevant construction qualification (trade background or third-level qualification advantageous)
